Notice at Collection for California Residents

We collect the following categories of Personal Information: identifiers; contact information; internet or network activity; geolocation (approximate); and user content. We collect this information directly from you, automatically from your device, and from Service Providers. We use these categories for the business purposes described above, including providing and improving services, security, debugging, analytics, and communicating with you. We disclose Personal Information to Service Providers under written contracts that limit their use to our business purposes. Cookies, Tracking, and Advertising

We use strictly necessary cookies for core site functions and may use performance/analytics cookies to understand usage and improve the site. We do not currently engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide required disclosures and opt-out mechanisms.

Your Privacy Rights

Subject to certain exceptions, California residents may have the right to: (1) know/confirm whether we collect, use, disclose, or otherwise process your Personal Information and to access such information; (2) request deletion; (3) request correction of inaccurate Personal Information; (4) receive information about our data practices; (5) opt out of the sale or sharing of Personal Information (we do not currently sell or share); and (6) limit the use and disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information (we do not use it for non-allowed purposes). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah

Residents of these states may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of Personal Information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of Personal Data, and certain profiling. We do not engage in sale or targeted advertising as defined by these laws. You may appeal a rights request decision by contacting us as described below.

Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of covered information. We do not sell covered information as defined under Nevada law.

How to Exercise Your Rights

You may submit a request by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Please describe the nature of your request and the state in which you reside.

Verification and Authorized Agents

To protect your information, we may require reasonable verification of your identity, which can include confirming control of the email address used with our services or asking for limited additional information that we already maintain. Authorized agents may submit requests on behalf of consumers where permitted by law, subject to verification of both the agent’s authority and the consumer’s identity.

Non-Discrimination

We will not deny goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level or quality of services solely because you exercise your privacy rights, except as permitted by law (for example, if differences are reasonably related to the value of your data).

Data Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. We use criteria such as the nature and sensitivity of the data, potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, applicable legal requirements, and whether the data is needed to operate the services. When retention is no longer necessary, we will delete, de-identify, or aggregate the data.

International Users and Data Transfers

Our services are operated in the United States. If you access the website from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Children’s Privacy

Our website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided Personal Information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe a child has provided Personal Information, please contact us at [email protected].

HIPAA and Health Information

PharmaInsight provides educational content and is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse. We are generally not a “covered entity” or “business associate” under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Personal Information you provide to us through the website is governed by this Privacy Policy and not by HIPAA, unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate agreement.

Third-Party Links and Services

Our website may reference third-party content or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you choose to use.

Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, Personal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a successor policy that provides materially similar protections.

Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. There is no common industry standard for DNT responses, and we do not respond to DNT signals. We will update this Policy if standards are adopted.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. The “Effective Date” will indicate when the Policy was last revised. Your continued use of the website after any changes constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated Policy.
